Jennifer Harris didn't come to disability services from a textbook. She came to it as a mother.
As a mom to three children — including a son with autism — Jennifer has lived the reality that so many families face: the uncertainty, the advocacy, the constant question of “what happens next?” She knows what it feels like to fight for your child's future in systems that weren't built with them in mind. And she knows the difference it makes when someone finally gets it.
That personal experience, paired with a career dedicated to disability services and workforce development, is what led Jennifer to co-found Hope at Work. She didn't want to build another program. She wanted to build the one she wished had existed — for her own family and for every family navigating this journey.
As Executive Director, Jennifer leads Hope at Work's programs, partnerships, and vision with the same commitment she brings to her own children: that every person deserves to be seen for what they can do, not defined by what others assume they can't.
